Earl Mullinax, 85, of West Salem, died Sunday, June 23, 1996, at his home.  Services at Ingram Funeral Home in West Salem, with Bret Baker officiating. Burial in the Moravian Cemetery.

Mullinax was born June 17, 1911, in Parkersburg, the son of John and Cora (Fritchley) Mullinax. He married Nelda Rae McDowell May 18, 1932, in Albion.

He owned and operated Mullinax Rexall Store and later owned and operated Mullinax Chevrolet dealership. He was past president of the Rotary Club, a 50-year member of Parkersburg Masonic Lodge and a member of the First Christian Church in West Salem.

He is survived by a son, Jon Mullinax, of Nargate, Fla.; two daughters, Dixie Leden, of Winnebago, and Diane Mullinax of Tampa, Fla.;  a sister, Blanche Gray of Springfield; five grandchildren, Julie Carnell, Michael Leden Doug Williard, Sara Sommers and Tami Mullinax.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
