George Lee Curtis, 78, Olney died Saturday, August 12, 1989 at Burgin Manor Nursing Home, Olney.  Services at First Baptist Church, Olney with Rev. Ron Bowen and Rev. George Miller presiding.  Burial in Haven Hill Cemetery.

Mr. Curtis was born July 14, 1911 in Richland County, the son of George and Lucy (Jenkins) Curtis.  He married Irene Berkshire on August 23, 1939 in St. Charles, Mo.  She preceded him in death on September 1, 1988.

He was a retired salesman for Dick Fessel Men’s Furnishings, a member of the First Baptist Church and an organist at First Baptist Church for many years.

Survivors include two nieces, three nephews and several cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister and a step-son.
