Beulah A. Martin, 77, Sumner, died Wednesday, Jan. 13, 1988, in Bridgeport Terrace.  Services in the Sivert-Macey Funeral Home with Bro. Lyle Berry presiding.  Burial in Crest Haven Cemetery.

Mrs. Martin was born May 12, 1910, in Richland County, the daughter of Harrison and Maude (Jennings) Read. She married Roy Martin and he preceded her in death in 1982.

She was an elementary teacher and a member of the Church of Christ in Olney.

Survivors include a son, Lee Martin, Memphis, Tenn.; two brothers, Homer Read, Calhoun, and Harry Read, Charleston; and a sister, Anna Knackmuhs, West Salem.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, a brother and a sister.
