Inez C. Grove, 88, of Rosewood Care Center, East Peoria, Illinois died Sunday, April 5, 1998, at the center.

Born May 19, 1909, in Olney to Charles Phillip and Mary (Burgener) Schahrer, she married Homer W. Grove Sr. on Jan. 20, 1930, in Lincoln. He died March 19, 1982, in Peoria.  One daughter, six brothers and four sisters also preceded her in death.

Surviving are one son, Homer Jr. of East Peoria; one sister, Mrs. C. Herbert (Louise) Olson of Bakersfield, Calif.; three granddaughters; four great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

She was an office worker at Caterpillar Inc. for 22 years, retiring in 1974. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Peoria.

Services at Cumerford-Endsley-Diggle Funeral Home in Peoria. The Rev. Tom Bayes will officiate. Burial in Swan Lake Memory Gardens.
