Genevieve Lee (Marshall)

Genevieve (Lee) Marshall, 80, of Carbondale, Illinois died Saturday, May 26, 1990 in Barnes Hospital of St. Louis, Missouri. Funeral services at First United Methodist Church in Carbondale with Reverend Donald Carlton officiating. Burial at Marion Cemetery in rural West Salem, IL.

Mrs. Marshall was born at Parkersburg, IL on March 30, 1910 to Charles Chester and Laura (Phelps) Lee. She married Dr. Glenn R. Marshall on July 28, 1928 at Albion, he survives. Dr. Marshall was the founder of Marshall Clinic in Effingham, IL where he practiced medicine for approximately 30 years.

Other survivors include one son, Dr. Robert C. Marshall of Piedmont, Calif; one daughter, Glenda Lane of Champaign; three grandsons and three granddaughters.

She was a member of First United Methodist Church, Carbondale; Chapter J.N. of the PEO Sisterhood; China Guild International; Daughters of the American Revolution and was a past president of University Women of SIU.

She was a homemaker and an artist.

She is preceded in death by her parents and one sister.
