Lucia I. Lanter, 89 of Olney died Thursday March 11, 1999 at Richland Memorial Hospital. Mass of Christian burial at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Olney with Rev. Father Jerry Wirth officiating. Burial in St. Joseph Cemetery.

Mrs. Lanter was born May 27, 1909 in Flora, the daughter of Earl and Edna (Flick) McBride. She married LaVaughn "Darby" Lanter May 16, 1942. He preceded her in death August 19, 1974.

She was a retired ward secretary at Olney Sanitarium and Richland Memorial Hospital. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Olney.

She is survived by two cousins, both of Flora.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and a brother, Paul.
