Alvin Musgrove

Alvin R. Musgrove, 87, of Olney died Monday February 23, 1998 at Good Samaritan Hospital in Vincennes, Ind.  Services at Immanuel United Methodist Church in Olney with Rev. Charles McDonald and Rev. Paul Prater officiating. Burial in Haven Hill Cemetery.

Musgrove was born March 10, 1910 in Richland County, the son of Edward and Rosalie (Burgener) Musgrove. He married Wenonah Ameter January 1, 1933 in Richland County.

He owned and operated Musgrove Shoe Store in Olney for 50 years. He and his late son, Dr. Monte, operated the Musgrove Quarterhorse Farm. He was a member of Immanuel united Methodist Church, a 50-year member of Olney Elks Club and a 20-year member of the Dundas Ruritan Club.

He is survived by his wife, of Olney; one son, J.W. Musgrove, of Godfrey; two granddaughters, Jennifer Robin Musgrove of Orlando, Fla. and Sara Ann Musgrove of Clearwater, Fla.; one brother-in-law, John Ameter of Olney; three nieces and four nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a son, Dr. Monte Musgrove, six sisters and a brother.
