Ida Colborn (Brunner)

Ida (Colborn) Brunner, 95, of Largo, Florida and formerly of New Port Richey, died Saturday, December 31, 2005 at the Seminole Residence Club. She was born in Yankton, S.D. July 2, 1910 daughter of Robert J. and Mary S. (Steobert)  Colburn. She married Floyd L. Brunner August 10, 1939 in Richland County Illinois. He preceded her in death in 1994.

She came to New Port Richey in 1947 from Oak Ridge, Tenn., and later moved to Largo. She worked in the Pasco County tax collector's office. She was county council president of the Pasco PTA. She was appointed to the Children's Commission during Leroy Collins' governorship. She was an original board of directors member of the West Pasco Hospital and founding member of the West Pasco Historical Society. She was an active member of Our Lady Queen of Peace Catholic Church and the Rosary Altar Society.

Survivors include a son, Donald W., Seminole; two daughters, Barbara Watts, Largo, and Elaine Macaluso, Franklin, N.C.; six grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
