Kenneth E. Harper, 92, died Thursday, January 10, 2002, at Community Memorial Hospital in Staunton.  Funeral services at East Alton. Graveside services at the Calhoun Cemetery, Calhoun, IL.

Mr. Harper was born on July 7, 1909 in Calhoun, the son O Sherman and Metta (Nicholas) Harper.

He was the owner of Ken's Coin and Antiques in East Alton for 35 years and was employed as a security guard at Olin Corporation from 1949 until his retirement in 1973. He served in the Civilian Conservation Corps from 1934 to 1935. He was a U. S. Army veteran of World War II serving from 1941 to 1945. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of East Alton.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Eugene Harper.
