Erna Leona "Billie" Rohde, 94, of Olney died Tuesday September 16, 2003 at Richland Memorial Hospital in Olney.

Billie wished to have her body cremated. Graveside services at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in rural Richland County with Reverend Don Watson officiating, assisted by Berton Heleine.

Mrs. Rohde was born on July 28, 1909 in Claremont Township in Richland County, the daughter of John J. and Esta L. (Boley) Persoon. She married Leonard O. Rohde on December 24, 1928 in Bloomington. He preceded her in death.

She was a member of Calhoun Methodist Church for many years until her illness prevented her from attending church.

Mrs. Rohde is survived by one granddaughter, Wendy Lee Fulk and her husband, Clint of Noble; two great-grandsons, Quentin Beehn and Coltin Beehn of Noble; two nieces, Joan Rohr and her husband, Dick of Dundas and Cher Hendricks of Olney; and several great-nieces and great-nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Leonard, one son, Ronald L. Rohde and one sister, Bernice Smejkal.
