Helen Webster Gibson, 86, of Olney died Monday June 10, 1996 at Burgin Manor Nursing Home in Olney.  Services at Zirkle Funeral Home in Olney with Stuart Leigy officiating. Burial in Haven Hill Cemetery.

Gibson was born January 2, 1910 in Olney, the daughter of Walter Milton Webster and Millie Bell  Houghland. She married Edward Gibson June 8, 1937 in Charleston. She retired in 1972 after working 43 years as a bookkeeper for the International Shoe Company in Olney. She was a member of the Elm Street Christian Church in Olney and the Goodwill Rebekah Lodge #201 in Olney.

Surviving are one son, John C. Gibson of Paris; one sister, Lillian Hussong of Godfrey; two grandchildren and two great-grandsons.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and one brother, Elmer Milton Webster.
