Margaret Shirley Parker, 90, of Claremont, died Saturday March 17, 2001 at Richland Memorial Hospital in Olney.  Funeral services at First Presbyterian Church with Rev. David A. McNabb officiating. Burial in Gilead Cemetery.

Mrs. Parker was born on February 14, 1911 in Richland County, the daughter of John Almen and Viola Mae (Carter) Paullins. She married Byrd Herman Parker on May 11, 1939 in Palmyra, Mo. He preceded her in death.

She was a homemaker, member of First Presbyterian Church and attended Gilead Presbyterian Church.

Mrs. Parker is survived by three daughters, Paula Gay of Claremont, Dorothy Spease of Kansasville, Wis. and Valerie Gibson of Spring, Texas; and eight grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and one sister.
