Arthur L. Lathrop, 79, Rt.1, Claremont, Ill., died January 7, 1990 at his residence.  Graveside services with Brother Arthur Ritchey officiating. Burial in Antioch Cemetery with Summers Funeral Home in charge of the services.

Mr. Lathrop was born June 8, 1910 in German Township, Richland County, Illinois., the son of Edgar and Anna (Materna) Lathrop. He married Katibel Mowrer, February 4, 1939 in Olney.

He was a retired farmer and a member of Claremont Ruritan and Richland County Farm Bureau.

Surviving, in addition to his spouse, Katibel Lathrop, are two sons, Joe Lathrop and Roy Lathrop, both of Claremont; one daughter, Mrs. Melvin (Mary Lou) Kimmel, Olney; two sisters, Dorothy Lathrop and Lucille Lathrop, both of Olney; 10 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

He was preceded in death by his parents and five brothers.
