Thelma Pauley (Turner)

Thelma J. Turner 95, of Indianapolis passed away Monday June 13, 2005 at University Heights Convalescent Center in Indianapolis. She was born June 22, 1909 in Richland County, Illinois to Albert and Dollie (Baughn) Pauley. Thelma married Everett Turner on March 7, 1936 in Olney Illinois.

Everett and Thelma had been married for 68 years when he passed away on December 16, 2004.

Thelma was a school teacher in Perry Township for many years retiring in 1975. She was a member of Asbury Methodist Church in Richland County, Illinois and a member of the Indiana State Teachers Association.

Survivors include two daughters, Martha (Donald) Woodley of Greenwood and Barbara (Louis) Ruttle of Indianapolis. Grandchildren Laura (Mike) Hacker, Bart Woodley and Erin Ruttle, one great grandchild Tatum Hacker also survives.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and two brothers Gilbert and Homer Pauley.

Funeral Services in Forest Lawn Funeral Home with Reverend Mark Dwyer conducting services. Private burial in Forest Lawn Memory Gardens.
