Sarah Elizabeth Dunkle, age 74, Richmond, Virginia, and formerly of Olney, IL, died Friday February 17, 1984 in Richmond.  Burial in Dale Memorial Park, Chesterfield, Virginia.

She was born December 4, 1909 the daughter of Dr. Alexis Tolvin Telford and Florence (Slanker) Telford.  She was a 1927 graduate of Olney Township High School.

Mrs. Dunkle was a retired school teacher.

Survivors include her husband, Glenn M. Dunkle; a son; a daughter and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Mrs. George (Florence Augusta) Bogard.

She was the granddaughter of Gideon D. Slanker, one of Olney's pioneers.
