Neva Pipher, 77, Olney, died Tuesday, April 7, 1987 in Olney Care Center.

Services in Zirkle Funeral Home with Rev. Bob Smith presiding. Burial in Crest Haven Memorial Park Cemetery.

Mrs. Pipher was born July 21, 1909, in Clay County, Il., the daughter of William Emery and Mamie(Byers) Smith. She married Roy Pipher and he preceded her in death, June 24, 1965.

She was a member of the Immanuel United Methodist Church and the Retired Teachers Association. She taught school for many years in rural Richland and Lawrence Counties.

Survivors include two sons, Emery of Cambridge, Ohio, Donovan of Phoenisx, Arizona; a daughter, Rebecca of Olney; two sisters, Ina Koertge of Refugio, Texas and Thelma McClain of Olney; one step-brother, Paul Smith of Fillmore, Il.; six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, four brothers and a great-grandson.
