Clifton W. Garrett, 73, Olney died Thursday August 26, 1982 in Richland Memorial Hospital. Services at Zirkle Funeral Home with burial in Haven Hill Cemetery.

Mr. Garrett was born July 14, 1909 in West Salem, the son of Claude and Cora (Morgan) Garrett. He married Florence Prather June 29, 1929 and she survives.

He was a member of the First United Methodist Church and B.P.O.E. 926.

He was the bulk agent for Standard Oil for many years and in 1946 became owner and operator of Weiland-Goudy Hardware in Olney retiring in 1966.

Other survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Harold (Barbara) Moore, Olney; and Mrs. C. Jay (Janet) Tuttle, Houston, Texas; four grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers and two sisters.
