John Ed Fessel, 93, of Olney died Tuesday February 12, 2002 at his residence.  Funeral services at First Presbyterian Church in Olney with Reverend Gary Ryden officiating. Burial in Haven Hill Cemetery in Olney.

Mr. Fessel was born on December 20, 1908 in Olney, the son of J.B. and Ann (Blotter) Fessel. He married Dorothy Weaver on March 16, 1930. She preceded him in death on May 13, 1997.

He was owner and operator of Fessel's Cleaners and was a member of First Presbyterian Church. He was a member of Olney Elks Lodge, a Paul Harris Fellow of Rotary and had perfect attendance at Rotary for 66 years.

Mr. Fessel is survived by two sons, Dick Fessel and his wife, Joan of Olney and David Fessel and his wife, Marilyn of Mattoon; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

He was preceded in death by his wife, parents, one brother and two sisters.
