Arnold Sterchi

Alfred Arnold Sterchi, aged 30, of South Bend, Indiana, a city mail carrier, died at 7:40 o’clock this morning, Friday, April 23, 1937 in Healthwin Hospital, after nine months’ illness of tuberculosis.

He was born in Olney, Illinois December 3, 1906, and came here nine years ago from that city. He was married in New Carlisle, Ill. in 1926 to Mabel C. Ibbotson, who survives.

He leaves his mother, Mrs. Anne Sterchi of Olney; two sons, Jerry Wayne and Vernon Alfred at home; six brothers, Robert, John, Walter and Paul Sterchi of Olney and Albert and William Sterchi of Mendota, Ill.; and four sisters, Mrs. Otto Schilt, Mrs. Herman Buss and Mrs. Luther Worrell of Olney and Mrs. Julius Musgrove of Marion, Ill.

The body will lie in the Earl C. Hollis Chapel, the body will later be taken to Olney for further services and burial.
