Lela Murray, 91, of Austin, Texas died Saturday June 6, 1998.  A memorial service held at the First Presbyterian Church in Austin, Texas.

Murray was born September 26, 1906 in Noble. She married Herman E. Murray. He preceded her in death in 1975.

She attended Olney High School. She lived most of her adult life in Canton and Peoria, where she was a member and past president of P.E.O. She was a member of the Presbyterian Church in Illinois and Austin.

She is survived by one son, George W. Murray and his wfie, Jane of Essex, Conn., Ann Murray Bellamy of Mammoth Lakes, Calif. and Jane T. Murray of Houston; and one great-grandson.

She was preceded in death by her husband.
