Havillah Reckling

Havillah E. "Bill" Reckling, 90, of El Paso died  Friday, July 15, 1994, at St. Joseph Medical Center in Bloomington.

 Born June 2, 1904, in Parkersburg to Ezra E. and Elizabeth M. Boewe Reckling, he married Katherine Aubrey on Dec. 19, 1929, in El Paso. She survives.

Also surviving are one daughter, Crystal Wickenhauser of El Paso; two sisters, Tressie Clotfelter of Litchfield and Flo Ridgeley of Olney; and two grandchildren.
 
Three brothers and two sisters preceded him in death.
 
A graduate of Eastern Illinois University, he received his master's degree from the University of Indiana. He then taught industrial arts at El Paso High School for 40 years. He later worked at Sampen Hardware and Kent Lumber Co., both in El Paso. He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church. He also was a member of the Illinois Retired Teachers Association and the Woodford County Retired Teachers Association.
 
Services at his church. The Rev. Eugene Kane will officiate. Visitation at Froelich Memorial Home in El Paso. Burial in Glendale Cemetery in Washington.
