Cyril N. Richards, 73, West Salem died Saturday October 20, 1979 in Richland Memorial Hospital.  Services at Ingram Funeral Home in West Salem with Rev. Chester Hout presiding. Burial in Moravian Cemetery.

He is survived by his wife, Mary; two daughters, Mrs. Patricia Decker, Pleasant Hills, Ca. and Mrs. Mary Ellen Martens, Humbolt; and four grandchildren.

He was chairman of the board of the First State Bank in West Salem, on the board of the Golden Acres Shelter Care Home and a member of the Zion United Methodist Church in West Salem. He was also treasurer of the West Salem Masonic Lodge, a member of the West Salem O.E.S. and the White Shrine in Olney, and the 32nd Degree Masons. He was also a member of the Shrine Ainad Temple of East St. Louis.
