Eva A. Dean, 84, of Olney died Thursday January 21, 1993 at Lawrence County Memorial Hospital in Lawrenceville  Funeral services at Summers-Kistler Funeral Home in Olney with Rev. Harold D. Shaffer officiating. Burial in Haven Hill Cemetery.

Mrs. Dean was born December 17, 1908 in Marom, Ind., the daughter of Charles Norman and Emma (Sempsrott) Mahan. She married Robert Henry Dean Sr. February 14, 1928 in Olney. He preceded her in death February 7, 1989.

Mrs. Dean was a homemaker. She was a member of Calhoun United Methodist Church, TOPS and KOPS.

Mrs. Dean is survived by two sons, Robert Dean, Jr. of Massillon, Ohio and Donald Dean of Chanute, Kans.; three daughters, Carolyn Perkins of Indianapolis, Ind., Gloria Dean and Phyllis Gross, both of Olney; ten grandchildren; six great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Dean was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two sisters, one brother, one grandson and two great-grandsons.
