Ellen F. Nelson, 88 of Olney died Monday May 27, 1996 at Olney Care Center.  Graveside services at Haven Hill Cemetery in Olney with Rev. Garin Cycholl officiating.

Nelson was born November 3, 1907 in Indiana, the daughter of Dr. G.S. and  Elsie (Hilburn) Trotter. She married Dr. John O. Nelson February 11, 1927. He preceded her in death June 16, 1982.

She was a member of First United Methodist Church in Olney. She was a school teacher and taught in Richland County for five years and she also worked in the accounting department at the University of Illinois.

She is survived by a sister, Mary Bailey of Port Charlotte, Fla.; a niece, Anne Bailey of Clearwater, Fla.; two nephews, Frank Bailey of Pana and Bob Bailey of Indianapolis, Ind.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and a sister.
