Clarence Wilson

Clarence S. Wilson, 91, of Deerfield, died Saturday August 9, 1997 at Highland Park Hospital.  Services and burial in Deerfield.

Wilson was born April 11, 1906 in Olney, the son of I.N. and Ella Jane (Poff) Wilson. He married Kathryn M. Vice in 1929.

He owned and operated a retail food business in Deerfield from 1928-1972. He then lived in Olney for 11 years before returning to Deerfield. He was a member of the Olney and Deerfield Rotary Club for more than 50 years and the Olney Elks Club Lodge 926. At the Presbyterian Church of Olney he was ordained as an elder.

He is survived by his wife; one son, Allen Wilson and his wife, Karen of Arlington Heights; one daughter, Marjean Lynch and her husband, Charles of San Ramon, Calif.; one brother, Ernest Wilson of Olney and four grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, Donald, Herbert and Vernon and a sister, Leliah.
