Elsie Pflaum (Tennyson)

Elsie A. Tennyson, 88, of Olney died Sunday March 9, 1997 at her residence.  Services at Summers-Kistler Funeral Home in Olney with Rev. Mark C. Myers officiating. Burial in Haven Hill Cemetery in Olney.

Tennyson was born January 22, 1909 in Richland County, the daughter of Adam and Dora (Eilenstein) Pflaum. She married Levi Tennyson April 23, 1931.

She was a retired secretary for Central, Cherry and Silver schools and was a member of First United Methodist Church and Eastern Star.

She is survived by her husband; one son, Lawrence Tennyson and his wife, Evelyn of Streamwood; one daughter, Rebecca Roth and her husband, Richard of Robinson; one brother, Carl Pflaum of Olney; two sisters, Willimena Griffith of Pineville, W.Va. and Katherina Walters of Paramont, Calif.; three grandchildren, Fred Tennyson, Martin Roth and Kerry Zerla; and three great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, Valentine and a sister, Pauline.
