Arthur Fritschle

Arthur J. Fritschle, 65, a lifelong resident of Richland County, died Saturday morning June 20, 1974, at the grain elevator in Albion, where he and his grandson had taken a load of grain. Funeral services in the Trinity Lutheran Church with Pastor Ray Zumstein and Rev. Edward P. Nelson officiating. Interment in the Crest Haven Memorial Park cemetery.

Mr. Fritschle was born March 31, 1909 in Richland County and had lived here his entire lifetime. His parents were Daniel Fritschle and Lizzie Burgener Fritschle.

He was an extremely active man in his community and was a long and faithful member and worker of the Trinity Lutheran Church. He graduated with the Class of 1926 of the O.T.H.S. and was presently serving as vice chairman of the County Board of School Trustees. He was elected in March 1974 to the Tri-County Regional Board of Shool Trustees, which assumes its duties in August of 1975. He had served on the first Board of Education of the E.R.H.S.

He was married to Helen R. Boley on January 12, 1932. She survives along with three children; John Fritschle of Glenview, Joe Fritschle of Olney and Mrs. Richard (Phyllis) Nelson of Wilmette; seven grandchildren; sisters and brother, Mrs. William (Elva) Gerber, Mrs. Roscoe (Edna) Scherer, Mrs. Karl (Alice) Boley, and Myrl Fritschle, all of Olney; and Mrs. Stanley (Mary) Chaplin of St. Francisville; several nieces and nephews.
