Earl H. Holtz, 73, Olney Rt. 6, Preston Township died Friday February 27, 1981 at Olney Care Center.Services at the   ummers Funeral Home with Rev. Jerry St. Clair officiating. Burial in the Dundas Cemetery.

He was born in Richland County August 22, 1907 to Henry Joseph Holtz and Minnie Scherer. On August 4, 1929 he married Ida M. Barnes in Olney.

Mr. Holtz was a teacher in the East Richland School District for 40 years, including several years as principal of the Cherry Street School in Olney.

He was a member of the Mt. Gilead Church.

Surviving are his wife, Ida; three sisters, Ethel Crosby, Olney, Mary Seiler, Taylorville and Zora Kobernus, Jacksonville; several nieces and nephews.
