Mary Elizabeth Kelly, 88, of Urbana died Thursday July 10, 2003 at Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana.  Funeral services at University Place Christian Church in Champaign with Reverend Deborah Owen officiating. Burial in Woodlawn Cemetery in Urbana.

Mrs. Kelly was born on May 14, 1915 in Olney, the daughter of Harry Ralph and Ruth Ann (LaRue) Wilson. She married J. Robert Kelly on December 25, 1942 in Olney. He survives.

She received a Master of Music Degree at College of Music in Cincinnati, Ohio. She was a concert violinist with the C-U Symphony for more than 35 years, retiring in 1990. she was a member of University Place Christian Church in Champaign, Mu Phi Epsilon Fraternity and Tuesday Morning Musical Club of Champaign-Urbana.

Mrs. Kelly is survived by her husband, J. Robert Kelly of Urbana; two sons, John Robert Kelly of Woonsocket, R.I. and James Wilson Kelly of Fort Collins, Colo. and four grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a son, Thomas J. Kelly.
