Frances Travis (Iaun)

Frances Naomi Iaun, 82, of Olney died Wednesday September 24, 1997 at her residence.  Services at Elm Street Christian Church with Minister Keith Krueger officiating. Graveside interment at Haven Hill Cemetery.

Iaun was born February 27, 1915 in Olney, the daughter of John and Laura (Colvin) Travis. She married Clyde T. Iaun Sr. December 20, 1939. He preceded her in death on January 5, 1967.

She worked in accounting at GTE from 1936-1942, as a custodian at Elm Street Christian Church for 30 years, owner and operator of OK Janitorial Service for 33 years and had Frances' Knit Shop in Olney. She was a member of Elm Street Christian Church in Olney, Cheerful Homemakers Extension Unit and was a pink lady at Richland Memorial Hospital.

She is survived by four daughters, Sharron Tompson and her husband, Jack of Carbondale, Tanya Bentsen and her husband, Gary of Cairo, Egypt, Stephannie Dasenbrock and her husband, David of Olney and Kendall Becke and her husband, Ossi of Viola, Del.; two sisters, Thelma Appleby of Olney and Effie Jahncke of San Diego, Calif.; eleven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, a son, Clyde, Jr., a grandson and a brother.
