Funeral services for Russell V. Mattoon, 65, who died Friday, August 1978, at Richland Memorial Hospital, was at Summers Funeral Home with Rev. Edward J. Eichenberger officiating. Interment in Crest Haven Memorial Park.

He is survived by his wife, Kathleen, and the following children: Mrs. David (Judi) Borah, Shelbyville, Kay Mattoon, Olney, Mrs. Donald (Nancy) Murray, Pesotum, Mrs. Douglas (Marjorie) Stallard, Decatur, Mrs. Michael (Sandra) Emerick, Rantoul, Mrs. Edward (Sue) Kocher, Olney, Mrs. Blake (Sharon) Tyner, Marion, Mrs. Michael (Connie) Buss and Rex A. Mattoon, both of Olney. There are 15 grandchildren.

Also surviving are his mother, Mrs. Carrie Mattoon, Olney; a sister, Mrs. Eugene (Juanita) Ivy, Manteno; and a brother, Hubert Mattoon, Kankakee.

He was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Shirley Carolyn, and his father, Ora Mattoon.
