Blanche C. Collins Nehart of Elgin, died November 12, 2001 at home.

She was born in Olney Illinois, daughter of Thomas L. and Ethyl F. Campbell.

The Collins family moved to Elgin from Peru, IL in 1960. She was a graduate of University of Illinois and did graduate work at the University of Michigan.

She married Tom W. Collins in 1942. She as an active member of the First Congregational Church of Elgin. She was a member of AAUW, Retired Teachers Associations, IEA and NEA. She taught at Woodland Heights School (U-46) for 20 years.

She was preceded in death by her husband in 1996 and an infant son Timothy.

Survivors include four children Jim, Elbert, Tom Jr., and Carole; nine grandchildren, her husband Albert Nehart and 10 step-children including Nancy, Sharon and Loral; her sister Nadine Meyers. She married Albert W. Newhart of Barlett IL in 1999.

Funeral services at First Congregational Church. Interment at LaMoille Cemetery in LaMoille, IL.
