Carl Clay Brant, 62, of San Luis Obispo, California, formerly of Kansas, Illinois, died Tuesday afternoon, December 9, 1975 in his home in San Luis Obispo. Services in Christian Church, Kansas with burial in Fairview Cemetery there.

Mr. Brant was born December 20, 1912 in Clay County, son of Mr. and Mrs. John D. Brant. He married Ellera Maglone.

He was a retired teacher, a member of Kansas Christian Church, Rebekah Lodge and International Order of Odd Fellows.

Survivors include the widow, Ellera; a son, Charles; a daughter, Mrs. Beverly Milosevic; two brothers, Ellis and John Brant; two sisters, Mrs. Lillian Cokley and Marie Welch and five grandchildren.
