Mary Leota Bower, 84, of Olney died Tuesday September 29, 1998 at Richland Memorial Hospital in Olney. Funeral services at Summers-Kistler Funeral Home in Olney with Reverend Bruce Rushing officiating. Burial in Haven Hill Cemetery.

Miss Bower was born January 25, 1914, in Richland County,  the daughter of Frank and Clemency (Bowley) Bower.

She was retired after 42 years with GTE. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church and the Eastern Star. She was secretary of Heritage Museum and was a member of numerous other civic organizations.

She is survived by several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers and three sisters.
