Stuart Cox - Class Of 1933

Stuart Cox, 81, of Decatur died Thursday, March 13, 1997 in St. Mary's Hospital.  Memorial services will be held in Grace United Methodist Church. The body was cremated.

Mr. Cox was born in Owensville, Ind., on June 5, 1915, the son of Arthur S. and May Isabel Corzine Cox. He was a member of Grace United Methodist Church and IEEE. He was employed by Westinghouse and later by Illinois Power Co. where he worked as an electrical engineer.

He married Leila Garvin in 1944. She preceded him in death on May 16, 1992.

Surviving are his daughter, Ruth I. King of Brown Deer, Wis.; son, Paul H. of Kingsville, Texas; daughters, Ellen M. Cox of Decatur; Grace E. Lovelace of Milan, Mich.; sister, Mary Louise Cox of Tucson, Ariz.; brothers, John C. Cox of Colorado; Theodore Cox of Wyoming; three grandchildren, Jonathan Lovelace, Paul Lovelace and Carol King.

He was preceded in death by his wife.
