Wilma Hillis (Weber)

Wilma S. (Hillis) Weber, 82, of Normal, formerly of Olney, died Saturday, March 28, 1998 in St. Joseph Medical Center, Bloomington.  Services in First United Methodist Church with the Rev. Bruce Rushing officiating.  Burial  in Haven Hill Cemetery.

Mrs. Weber was born Oct. 9, 1915, in Olney, the daughter of Harry Sr. and Alma Seymour Hillis. She was a homemaker and affiliated with the First United Methodist Church. She was organist for many years at First United Methodist Church and St. Alban's Episcopal Church and was a member of the Clio Club. She married John C. Weber on Sept. 5, 1940. He preceded her in death Nov. 4, 1991.

Surviving are her sons, John C. Weber II and wife Donna of Travers City, Mich.; Edward P. Weber and wife Susan of Denver, Colo.; David G. Weber and wife Elizabeth of Decatur; Paul A. Weber and wife Lesley of Columbus, Ohio; Stephen P. Weber and wife Nancy of Boyne City, Mich.; Charles B. Weber and wife Jane of Jenks, Okla.; daughters, Charlotte Cooney and husband Andrew of Normal; Nancy L. Vercler and husband Joel of Chenoa; Ann Leininger and husband Richard of Salem, Ore.; brothers, Harry Hillis Jr. of Olney; James Robert Hillis of Memphis, Tenn.; 19 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and sister, Marie.

She was a dear devoted mother who will be greatly missed.
