Harold L. Schmalhausen, Jr., 65, of Olney died Monday March 21, 1994 at Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana.  Memorial services at Summers-Kistler Funeral Home with Rev. Mark Myers officiating. The body was cremated.

Schmalhausen was born April 25, 1928 in Olney, the son of Harold Lutz and Marcella Marie (Lockwood) Schmalhausen. He married Dolores Walker on June 10, 1950.

He was a registered pharmacist. He and his father had Rexall Drug Store until 1969. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church and was also a member of the Olney Elks #926.

He is survived by his wife, of Olney; two sons, Joe Schmalhausen of Newport Beach, Calif. and John Schmalhausen of West Palm Beach, Fla.; two daughters, Mrs. Dave (Cathy) Stegall of Chillicothe and Susan Schmalhausen of Tampa, Fla.; a brother, Bob Schmalhausen of Houston, Texas; a sister, Bette Sue Schmalhausen of N. Hollywood, Calif. and two grandchildren, Austin and Andrew Stegall.

Schmalhausen was preceded in death by his parents.
