Miss Lois C. Ribley, 46, of Rt. 1, Sumner died Thursday Aug. 15, 1974  in the Richland County Memorial Hospital. She had been ill for several months.

She was born July 18, 1928 in Richland County, a daughter of Joseph M. and Amy Reich Ribley.

She was an elementary teacher in special education and was employed at the Center Street School in Fairfield. She was a member of the Illinois Education Association, the National Education Association and Berryville Christian Church.

She is survived by one son Robert A. Ribley, her mother, Mrs. Amy Ribley, all of Rt. 1 Sumner.

Her father and one brother, Mac Ribley, preceded her in death.

Funeral services were held Saturday from the Sivert Funeral Home in Sumner with J. Newby officiating. Burial was in Haven Hill Cemetery at Olney.
