Lillian F. Blackwell, 70, of Bridgeport, Illinois, died Saturday afternoon, July 26, 1997 at Lawrence County Memorial Hospital in Lawrenceville.

Lillian was born August 3, 1926, daughter of William R. and Marie Crum Gardner. She married George L. Blackwell.

Surviving are a daughter, Cynthia Lawson of Sumner; three sons, George J. of Flat Rock and Jerry Wayne and William C., both of Bridgeport; and four grandchildren, Joshua and Kyle Lawson and James and Brittany Blackwell.

She was a member of Women of the Moose.

She was preceded in death by her husband, George in 1988, her parents and brother, William Gardner.

Services at Cunningham Funeral Home, with burial in Sumner City Cemetery.
