Charlene A. Deischer, 73, of Olney died Thursday, November 22, 2001 at Memorial Medical Center in Springfield.  Graveside services at Haven Hill Cemetery with Pastor Ted Kemp officiating.

Mrs. Deischer was born on May 8, 1928 in Sumner, the daughter of Charles Oliver and Mayme E. (Stine) Fiscus.  She married Esto Deischer.  He preceded her in death on July 20, 1998.

She had worked at Florsheim Shoe Company.  She was a member of Church of Christ and Eagles Lodge in Olney.

Mrs. Deischer is survived by a daughter, Janice K. Hayes of Dawson; two sisters, Eleanor Millman and Trella Clow, both of Olney; two half-sisters Gladys Crosby of Olney and Marie Parrott of Sumner; two grandchildren and one great-grandson.

She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, 16 brothers and sisters and one grandson.
