James Milburn Eyer, 80, of Easley, SC, and formerly of Texas, died Sunday, October 26, 2008, at Palmetto Health Baptist Easley.  Memorial services will be held at a later date.

Mr. Eyer was born in Olney, the son of the late William Herman and Mary Irene Schmoker Eyer.

He retired from Occidental Oil Company and was a member of St. Matthias Lutheran Church.

Mr. Eyer is survived by his wife, Betty Lou Albin Eyer, Easley, SC; two daughters, Merriellen Johnstone, of Easley, SC and Jane Poe, of Bastrop, Texas; grandchildren, Tracie Kadura, Jamie Smith, Carrie Ferguson, Mackensy and Riley Ferguson and Luke and Nicole Kadura.He was preceded in death by his parents; and three brothers, Willard, Fred and Carl.
