Edward A. Williams, 61, Carmi, and formerly of Olney, died Monday, August 15, 1988 in his home.  Graveside services in White County Memorial Garden Cemetery in Carmi with the Rev. Roger Lyons presiding.

Mr. Williams was born October 10, 1926 in Olney, the son of Clint and Mildred (Lough) Williams.  He married Joan Seymour September 3, 1948 and she survives.

He was retired from Baker Tools.  He was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Carmi and was a World War II Navy veteran.

Surviving, in addition to his wife, are two sons, David Williams of Carmi and Jim Williams of Indianapolis, Ind.; and his mother, Mildred Draper of Carmi.

He was preceded in death by his father.
