ARLINGTON -- Charles E. Sprague, 83, a retired U.S. Air Force chief master sergeant, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, May 26, 2004.  Memorial service:  at Northwest Christian Church in Arlington. Graveside service:  in Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery.

Charles was born Feb. 16, 1921, in West Liberty, Ill., the son of Clarence Sprague and Laura Brown. He married Aileen Baker on Sept. 2, 1943, in Goldsboro, N.C. He had joined the Army Air Force two years earlier, and served in Greenland during World War II, in Korea and in Germany during the late 1950s. He retired in 1967 and worked for LTV until 1988. He had lived in Arlington since 1968 and attended Northwest Christian Church.

Survivors: Brother, Donald B. Sprague; sister, Katherine Steele; wife, Aileen "Mitzie" Sprague; son, Charles Randall Sprague; daughters, Rebecca Sprague Exline and Melinda Sprague; granddaughter, Lisa Wallace; grandson, Matthew Exline; and three great-grandchildren.
