Mary Elizabeth King (Muxfeld)

Mary Elizabeth King Muxfeld, 70, of 2128 Allen Blvd., Middleton, Wis., formerly of Bloomington-Normal, died Sunday, May 26, 1991 at Greenway Manor Nursing Home, Spring Green, Wis. She was cremated. A memorial service was held at Funks Grove Church, Funks Grove. Burial in Funks Grove Cemetery.

Mrs. Muxfeld was born Oct. 6, 1920, at Olney, a daughter of Raymond and Dora Day King. She married Fred H. Muxfeld on April 5, 1942, at Jefferson Barracks, Mo. He died Dec. 30, 1979.

Survivors include two sons, Thomas, 1219 Townley Drive, Bloomington, and Daniel, Waunakee, Wis.; one daughter, Sara Brueggemann, Shekou, Peoples Republic of China; a sister-in-law, Louise Muxfeld, with whom she made her home; and five grandchildren.

One sister preceded her in death. Mrs. Muxfeld graduated from Illinois Wesleyan University in 1942 and taught at New Berlin High School, New Berlin. She also was employed by Second Presbyterian Church and Champion Federal Savings & Loan Association, both of Bloomington, and Lumber Land, Normal. She was a member of Alpha Gamma Delta social sorority at IWU and was a member of Second Presbyterian Church.
