Mary V. (Hovey) Chaplin, 88 of Winter Haven, Florida, died Sunday, January 11, 2009 from respiratory failure.  Graveside services at Auburndale Memorial Park, Auburndale, Fla.

Mary was born December 27, 1920 in Webster County, Iowa a daughter of Cyril J. and Mabel (Skien) Hovey. She married Jack P. Chaplin who preceded her in death in 1992.

She is survived by daughters, Kathy Hooper and Judy Harrolle and sons, Ben E. Chaplin and James H. Chaplin; sisters, Pauline Chaplin and Carolyn Byrnes.

She was preceded in death by her husband; sister, Arlene Flick and brother, Cyril Hovey.
