Merlin Harry Holtz, 72, Penrose, Colorado died Saturday October 29, 1988 in the Florence Hospital in Florence,  Colo.  Funeral services at the Assembly of God Church in Florence with burial in the Florence Cemetery.

Mr. Holtz was born on March 13, 1916, in Richland County to Harry E. and Minnie (Street) Holtz. He married Grace Myers on september 9, 1939 in Henderson, Ky. She survives.

He was employed at the International Shoe Factory in Olney and was a Moorman Feeds salesman.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by one son, Keith Holtz of Penrose; one daughter, Fonda Kuhn of Penrose; five grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; five great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister and one son.
