Mary Charlene Neely, 75, of Olney died Thursday, May 2, 1996 at her home.  Services at Summers-Kistler Funeral Home in Olney with Rev. Paul Prater officiating.  Burial in Haven Hill Cemetery.

Neely was born November 7, 1920 in Richland County, the daughter of Charles and Jessie (Egleston) Burnett.  She married Elmer George Neely December 6, 1939 in St. Charles, Mo.  He preceded her in death Sept. 21, 1987.

She was a homemaker, a member of Immanuel Methodist Church, a 50-year member of the Order of Eastern Star and an original member of the cancer support group.

She is survived by a daughter, Mary Ann Young and her husband, Jerry of Ft. Wayne, Ind.;  a sister, Helen Fox of Olney;  a cousin; a niece and three nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, three brothers and a sister.
