Marian A. Boatman, 60, Eau Claire, Wisconsin and formerly of Olney died March 24, 1981 in Eau Claire.  Services were held in Eau Claire.

She was born April 20, 1920 in Richland County to Delphus and Grace (Brinkley) Boatman. 

She lived in Olney until 1945 when the family moved to Wisconsin.  She taught in Olney schools from 1940-45.  She was assistant professor of elementary education at University of Wisconsin Eau Claire, where she joined the faculty in 1959 as an elementary education instructor.  She was a member of the Evangelical United Brethern Church.

She is survived by a brother, Jean Boatman, Wausau, Wis.

She was preceded in death by her parents and an infant brother.
