Bertha C. "Betty" Lancaster, 84, of Springfield, IL, formerly of Olney, IL, died Thursday, May 20, 2004, at the St. Johns Hospital, Springfield, IL.

Born in Ft. Branch, IN, on August 30, 1919, she was the daughter of Henry C. and Mary (Nix) Fehrenbacher.

She married Noah Scott Lancaster in 1942 and he preceded her in death in 1997.

She was a homemaker and had worked at the Ainsworth Garment Factory and a member of the St. Joseph Catholic Church and Blessed Sacrament Parish.

Survivors include one son, Michael Scott and wife Ellen of Hampton, VA; two daughters, Ann Walker and husband Duke of Springfield and M. Janet Lancaster of Springfield; one sister, Claudia Larroury of Evansville, IN; five grandchildren and five great-grandsons.

She was preceded in death by her husband, parents and four sisters.
