Rose Gretchen Weber (Arnold)

Gretchen "Dooge" Weber Arnold, 75, of Olney, died at 6 a.m. Monday Dec. 19, 1994 at her home.  Private funeral service at Mrs. Arnold's home, followed by a public graveside services at Haven Hill Cemetery with Rev. Mark Myers officiating.

Arnold was born Aug. 30, 1919 in Olney, the daughter of Dr. Frank J. Sr. and Gertrude L. (Loftin) Weber.  She married Laurence L. Arnold Aug. 14, 1946 in Olney.

She was a homemaker and a member of the First United Methodist Church. She was drafted for the War Department during World War II and later worked as a draftsman for the Pure Oil Company in Olney.

She is survived by her husband, of Olney; a son, Tom L. Arnold, of Boise, Idaho; two daughters, Carol Lane Stewart, of Grand Rapids, Mich., and Gretchen Arnold, of St. Louis, Mo.; and five grandchildren.

Arnold was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers.

Debbie Novak (Jones) (1970)

"Dooge" was our neighbor for 10 years before her passing . She was the kindest . most thoughtful person ! She 

spoiled our family in birthdays, Easter and Christmas with treats .

 

I remember  one time when we were talking , she told me "The more I get to know people , the better I like my dogs " I assume she meant they were more faithful !  

 

I will always remember this beautiful lady !!!

Margaret Booker (Kermicle) (1954)

I lived in the same neighborhood as the Arnolds and the Jones. Dooge was beautiful inside and out. She always had a smile on her face.
